Chris Nickerson is the founder and Principal Security Consultant for Lares Consulting. As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Nickerson’s main area of expertise is focused on Information security and Social Engineering in order to help companies better defend and protect their critical data and key information systems. He has created a blended methodology to assess, implement, and manage information security realistically and effectively. At Lares, Chris leads a team of security consultants who conduct Security Risk Assessments, which can cover everything from penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to policy design, computer forensics, Social Engineering, Red Team Testing and regulatory compliance.
Jack Wiles

Jack is a Security Professional with over 30 years experience in security related fields. This includes computer security, cyber-crime prevention, disaster recovery and physical security. He is a professional speaker and has trained federal agents, corporate attorneys and internal auditors on a number of computer crime related topics.
Jack is also a co-founder and a Senior Partner of TheTrainingCo, lead author in a variety of security titles from Syngress and an active and (in many cases) founding member of several federal public-private security initiatives including the U.S. Secret Service’s Electronic Crimes Task Force, FBI-led Infragard and a host of other DoD and high-tech crime units.
His training methods are quite unique and very unforgettable. He uses a combination of fascinating personal ‘war stories’, humor, professional magic and whatever else it takes to make students remember forever some of the things that he teaches them.
Jack is also a Vietnam veteran who served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam in 1967-68. He recently retired from the U.S. Army Reserves as a lieutenant colonel and was assigned directly to the Pentagon for the final 7 years of his career. In his spare time, he is a senior contributing editor for several local, national and international magazines.
Ryan Linn

Ryan Linn is an Information Security Engineer at SAS Institute. Employed in the computer industry since 1997, he has held positions ranging from web developer to Unix Systems Programmer at a large university to his current position in Information Security. Ryan has been responsible for working with large scale deployments of various flavors of *nix, high availability web and database clusters, as well as for application programming in high availability environments. Ryan is now part of the team responsible for information security globally in one of the largest privately held software companies in the world.
Tyler Shields

Tyler Shields is a Senior Researcher for the Veracode Research Lab whose responsibilities include understanding and examining interesting and relevant security and attack methods for integration into the Veracode product offerings. In the past, Tyler has worked as a consultant for both @Stake and Symantec, delivering security assessments to fortune 500 companies, major financial institutions, institutions of higher education, and the highest levels of the U.S. government. Tyler has presented at major industry conferences including H.O.P.E and SOURCE Boston and released numerous security advisories.

Gared Casey is the Senior Partner Account Manager for Juniper Networks providing coverage for the States of North and South Carolina. Gared joined Juniper Networks in 2007 and is responsible for J-Partner enablement, education, and product evangelism. Prior to joining Juniper Networks, Gared spent eight years with Check Point Software Technologies operating as a Named Account Manager recommending firewall, VPN, and data encryption technologies to Fortune 500 accounts. Gared started his networking career while managing and developing an internet security consulting practice with Halifax Corporation in Richmond, Virginia.
Gared and his wife, Nicole, reside in Town of Wake Forest, North Carolina. He is the father of two sons, Grant and Drew. When Gared isn’t training for half marathons, he is out with his sons on the soccer field every weekend coaching and encouraging good sportsmanship.

Prior to Bradford Networks, John held related positions at 3Com, Enterasys Networks, and Cabletron Systems.
